To be honest this is just great, Palm was holding the SDK for so long and Palm Pre owners were left with very few apps to choose from. But all that can be changed now as the Palm Pre Mojo SDK has leaked and can be downloaded by anyone.

So, if you were getting restless to get you hands on the SDK and churning out some good apps, you are in luck. Although there is one thing which I am not sure on how it will be handled. You can make apps using the leaked SDK but if you haven’t been accepted by Palm developer programme, submitting the app to the official Palm Pre store can be little difficult. Or people might be thinking of starting a Cydia like app repository for Palm Pre as well, which will make me extremely happy .

All the download links for the SDK are available on Link. Its around 175 MB .

In this video we can see the phone settings/preferences in action and how to set them up. The settings includes stuff like :

i) Turning Contact Matches On/Off – This setting will basically let turn off and on a feature, which actually shows you names of people which matches with the numbers while you type in phone key pad. Pretty nice feature.

ii) DTMF Tones – You can set them to short and long.

iii) Dialing Shortcuts – This is one feature l liked the most. Suppose you live in a campus or work in office where all the numbers start from something like Z-XXXX-YYYY for eg 8-5678-XXXX , so the last 4 digits are different but the first 5 digits are same for all office. In this case Palm Pre gives you freedom of setting up a dialing shortcut, so when you dial a number you just have to dial the last four digits and the phone will automatically add the first 5 digits by itself. Pretty cool right .

iv) Then there are some setting related to network and resetting you voice count .

You can watch all the settings in action in the video below:
