Palm made announcement that they will be releasing the new Palm pre plus and Pixi plus in Germany with Vodafone & O2. This comes as a surprise amidst the reports of Palm being up for sale and HTC probably will be buying it. But that shouldn’t bother the customers much :) .

Palm Starts Developer Podacast Series

To attract more developers and spread information about their developer program, Palm has started their developer podcast series. Indeed a very nice step from Palm to get attention towards it webOs platform. They have released the first video of the series.

Palm’s Dion Almaer and Ben Galbraith give an introduction the mobile development landscape, how Palm fits into it, and an overview of the various programs that Palm offers developers.

WebOs app catalog is growing at a steady pace, ofcourse its not as crowded as iPhone app store but it will eventually get there. Palm is doing all it can to attract developers towards its webOs platform. I think they should increase their handset reach and should spread fast into European, Asian countries. More handsets = More App Downloads = More Money For Developers :)

Palm Pre Coming To China In July – No Word On India Release

Finally Palm Pre is getting set to be launched in Asia. China Telecom will be launching Palm Pre in July 2010 with Blackberry devices. News came from the Wall Street Journal article. Still there is no word on when it will be released in India, which makes no sense because Palm Pre with a decent affordable price tag can do wonders for Palm in India.
