Palm Pre is having a 500 MHz processor but that didn’t stop the modders caj2008 (Jeff) and unixpsycho (Marco), to create the 720 MHz and 800 MHz kernels for OS 1.3.5.1 on the Palm Pre. Which blazing fast speeds and making multitasking a breeze. Check out the video showing the overlocking in action :

iPhone Games Porting To WebOs Becoming To Reality Soon

Since GDC 2010 is approaching fast, rumours have started flying around that Palm will making some big announcements this time. Most exciting is that of them reliving a platform/app which would make it very easy for developers to port their iPhone apps to WebOs platform.

Well if this is true then it can be really be a game changer and would really turn around the tables in the Palm Pre market share. As even after being a great smartphone, Palm Pre is not able to see the apps market get going which is inturn turning away the customers from it.

I really hope this becomes true and Palm Pre owners will soon be having thousands of apps to play around with.

Palm Pre Plus Comes To Life With Verizon

Last CES Palm Pre was launched and there had been talks of new Palm Pre coming this CES. And the rumors were true indeed. Yesterday Palm launched 2 new devices Palm Pre plus and Palm Pixi plus.
New Palm Pre features a improved keyboard, is more snappier and memory storage has been bumped to 16gb.

Quake And Doom Comes To Palm Pre : More Awesome Games Coming Soon

Gaming scene on Palm Pre took its little time to take off but now things are getting changed very fast as both Quake and hardware accelerated has been ported on Palm Pre. And they look pretty good, it also proves the fact that developers are indeed taking interest in Palm Pre game development and we can very well expect some very good games coming its way.

Please note that both are homebrewed apps and are not available in the official app store.

Video Recording On Palm Pre Possible : App Details And Video Sample

Precorder is a Palm Pre app homebrew Pre community. Its in alpha stage but does the job well if you want to record a video on Palm Pre.

Video streams are available in Mpeg-4, H.263, H.264/AVC and for audio you have the options from AAC, AMRNB, MP3. The video containers are either mp4 or 3GP.
